Lime Buttered Broccoli

This was my second new recipe to try. I thought it was pretty good but I'm thinking of a few tweaks. I wasn't sure how the lime would taste but it wasn't bad. I think next time I make this I'll try lemon juice instead just to see how that is.

What you need:
  • 8 cups of fresh broccoli florets (I did not have 8 cups. I actually took the lazy route, as always, and used the broccoli already in the steamer bag. This may have been why Keith wasn't thrilled with the recipe. I think I used to much of the mixture on it.)
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp. lime juice (as I said I think I'll try lemon juice next just to try. Growing up I was a waitress for one night at a small bed and breakfast type place that served suppers and they needed help for an evening. Anyway, they made this delicious lemon broccoli dish, I'm pretty sure I ate all the leftovers and I've been trying to find a recipe similar ever since. I'm hoping this is it!)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
What you do:
  1. Steam broccoli however you do it. Personally I poke holes in my bag and put it in the microwave...I'm sure my dad would be appalled...
  2. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
  3. Drizzle butter mixture over broccoli; toss to coat.
I thought this recipe was pretty good but could use some changes. Keith said it was okay, I don't think he'd mind if we never had it again. He also complained about my "tossing" of the broccoli. He said I mutilated it.
