The only change Keith suggested was different crust. I used pre-made crust as the recipe suggested but we were wondering if the regular Pillsbury pizza crust would taste better. He suggested cinnamon roll crust...not even sure how you get that and I don't think it'd taste good...
A perk with making your own is you can make it a bit more healthy depending on what you use. Of course since I was making it for Keith I didn't try to make it healthy.
***Note this makes two pizzas. She said you could freeze them but I just made one and have left over ingredients***
What you need:
- 2 cans of cheddar cheese soup
- 2 thin pizza crusts (whole wheat would be more healthy). Like I said still trying to figure out the best crust.
- 1 lb breakfast sausage, browned (could use turkey sausage to be healthier. Keith was appalled at this idea).
- 12 eggs, scrambled
- 6 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled (use turkey for even less calories)
- 1 package Canadian bacon (Our Hyvee has been redone and I'm still learning to find things...I ended up buying precut ham pieces as I couldn't find the Canadian bacon).
- 2% shredded colby jack cheese
What you do:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Brown your sausage, prepare your bacon, and scramble your eggs. (I have a confession before this morning I have never scrambled eggs...Keith laughed when I asked him for instructions. I think I did okay though).
- Spread the cheddar cheese soup on the pizza crust. (Use 3/4 can for each pizza)
- Top with sausage and scrambled eggs then top with bacon and ham/Canadian bacon.
- Top with cheese.
- Put into oven at 425 degrees. The recipe said if frozen put in for 20-25 minutes (do not thaw before). If it isn't frozen put in for 15 minutes.
