Chuck Wagon Casserole

This is an interesting combination but is pretty good!

What you need:
1 lb. lean ground beef
½ cup onion, chopped
½ cup green pepper, chopped
15-1/2 oz can mild chili beans in sauce
¾ cup barbecue sauce
½ t. salt
8-1/2 oz. pkg. cornbread mix
11-oz. can sweet corn and diced peppers, drained

What to do:
In a frying pan over medium heat, cook beef, onion and pepper; stir until no longer pink. Drain. Stir in chili beans, barbecue sauce and salt; bring to a boil. Spoon into a lightly greased 13X9 in baking pan and set aside. Prepare cornbread mix according to package directions; stir in corn and spoon over meat mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, or until golden.  Note: Keith said he put honey on top when he reheated it for lunch and it was tasty.
