First as Keith was leaving after break Maggie snuck out the door with Kolby right on her heels. We sent Kolby to herd her back to the porch which he did but she slipped by me so we tried again. This time he cornered her behind the bushes. So me in my PJ's and Keith in his uniform ended up wadding through the bushes to get her. After I got her clawing and hissing back into the house Keith had to grab Kolby and get him into the house. I'm sure our neighbors enjoyed watching us run around the yard chasing both of them.
Later that morning I had to pick Keith up from work so I loaded Kolby up in the car and headed to the PD. Kolby immediatly jumped into the front seat from his backseat position. When Keith tried to get in Kolby refused to move so they shared the front seat for a little while (imagine a 70lb dog and 200ish lb policeman sharing a very little seat). Soon Kolby became bored of this and crawled on top of Keith to be able to stick his head out of the window. It was quite a sight to see!
We also had an exciting morning the day before as well. While on our walk Kolby and I found a little kitten! Kolby was very excited about the kitty but she didn't really want to meet Kolby. After some hissing and attempted scratching I decided to take Kolby home and come back for the kitten. I had already called Keith to ask if we could keep the kitty. He said no but I figured rescuing it would be okay. I got Kolby his breakfast and put him in the back yard and headed back to the kitten. She was right where I left her and came running to me. I picked her up and asked the nearest house owners if she belonged to them. No one claimed her so we headed home. I shooed Kolby back indoors and got some milk and food for the little girl which she ate up. It was hilarious to watch Kolby and Maggie, they were glued to the patio door watching the kittens every move. Kolby could barely stand himself. Maggie was okay with the kitten being on the porch but later when Keith opened the door she was not happy about the kitten being near. He said there was some growling and hissing on Maggie's end. We decided to bring the kitten to the animal shelter as we can't currently afford additional vet bills. They assured Keith she would be adopted very quickly! This is a picture of them glued to the door!
