I haven't done much cooking of new recipes lately, I've been cooking but usually same old, same old. Hoping to try a few new things this week. I have been crafting though! Which has been a nice way to relax and will benefit the baby!
Both Keith and my dad were gone one weekend so my mom and I took the opportunity to have a girls weekend just the two of us (plus Kolby)! We had a blast! We ate food our boys don't like, watched girlie movies, hit up some garage sales, did pedicures, and crafted! Kolby also had a playdate with our minister's golden retriever. Kolby was more interested in digging holes than playing with Marshall. We hauled a table outside at their farm to sew and made a carseat cover, nursing cover, and boppy with cover. I know we have pictures of them but I'm not sure where they're right now. This is the carseat cover we made, minus the hole for the baby to be able to breath! My brother/sister in law were nice enough to let me borrow their carseat for measurements.

I also started on a quilt last winter during a snow day and finally finished it this week! Now it is ready for my mom to put the back on and quilt. I was very excited with this fabric as it has a german shorthair on it! The quilt itself was fairly simple but I did make quite a few mistakes. I'm learning!

I also had some Winnie the Pooh fabric to do something with and some minkie fabric. My mom suggested to making a blanket which was a quick yet useful project. I did fine until it was time for the hand sewing. I need some help there. Hopefully baby won't complain!
My mom gave me some fabric to start another quilt. I'm excited to get going with this one! Not sure if it will be a baby quilt, house quilt, or gift...
